Countless bands and artists whose first album is their best

Or even their only good album, for some. Funny how that works. Guess a lot of artists just put all of their best ideas forward for their debut and just can't keep the momentum going. Either from their creative well running dry fast or them simply never being able to surpass their first.

They say that you have many years to put together your first album, and then they want you to follow it up a year or two later. Meanwhile, they will be touring in support of the first album. It's tough to follow your debut album with something better, which is why it doesn't happen that often. However, many groups learn how to compensate and their subsequent albums are at least better than their 2nd one.
