There are people in tears because ChatGPT deleted its oldest model.

Apparently a sizeable number of folk had AI romantic partners hosted by that model.

I could mock it but I'm more worried about the fact that some people have little or no access to a tangible human connection.

Is SW better in that regard? For good or for ill there is I think another person who is alive and responds to my posts.

SW has often made me feel more lonely whenever I am single or having relationships issues.

Long ago, I actually found it very valuable in many ways for forming connections, especially in the EP and early SW days.

Now I struggle to take it "seriously" or connect on here.

For some people I think AI is just healthier than what is around them.

The damage some people can do to you is utterly insane.
