Maybe, when/if we'll invent AI

(No, not machine learning/LLMs)

@Elessar oh it’s coming!!!

@Ferise1 That's about as likely as seeing nuclear fusion become the main source of energy in the whole world in the upcoming future, or the moon colonized

@Elessar i’ve watched a lot of documentaries on it, some specialists have quit their job because they are afraid of how fast it’s evolving.

@Ferise1 If you asked the same people ten years ago they'd have told you to get rid of all your physical currency and only buy cryptos

Probably not even Bitcoin but cryptos that now are extinct too lol

It's just the umpteenth speculative bubble and people are dumb as always and keep falling for it

@Elessar one AI engineer compared it to illegal download in the early 2000… the music industry was finished. And he speculates that it’s much worse now with AI. It’s gonna change absolutely everything.

@Ferise1 just like CDs killed tape, every technology replaces and introduces things. It won't "surpass and replace organic life", at least in the current form, that's my point. Maybe 200 years from now they'll figure out how to make an actual one and the debate will reopen, right now I don't see it anywhere close to that

@Elessar yes and this will make human intelligence obsolete. Do you understand?
