I trust AI, but only to the point until it reaches it's own consciousness, then it WILL determine that humans are "the problem," and we need to be eliminated. It won't be wrong in determining that, I mean, just look at us. 🤷♂️

@calicuz which is why Musk is embracing transhumanism; AI can't destroy us if we're part of them

We're the modern era version of the 1960s people who looked at the moon landing and probably thought "at this pace, by the end of the century (1999) we'll have colonized the entire solar system!"
@uikakarotuevegeta Musk doesn't even know what he speaks of most of the time he opens his mouth lol.
See his bullshìt statements on the early days of Twitter acquisition, easily disprovable by anyone capable of hitting the "F12" key on their keyboard, switching to the "Network" tab and realizing that you wouldn't get (and I cite) ">1000 poorly batched RPCs" in the list lol

Could be tomorrow or could be never. Right now I'm more inclined towards "won't happen anytime soon". Developing actual sentience is a whole different story than developing a fairly accurate predictive model that is somewhat good at pretending sentience.
