That's the big question mark. There will be big benefits in some sectors. Healthcare being one. And it will also totally disrupt some and result in huge job losses. Like manufacturing.
I don't believe it will make us smarter though. The internet hasn't.
But what I know for sure is if regulation doesn't come quickly and clearly, a cat could get out of the bag and we would be playing catch up.
As far as the future a WHOLE lot of people involved in the creation and execution of AI have no idea what's going to happen with the technology. That's not a confidence builder.
