Should I just accept that I’ll never be thin ever again?

No matter how much I try to lose weight, I always fail and I gain the weight back.
I weighed 237lbs before my dads death earlier and I gained 20 pounds because of depression and sadness!
I was a tall thin child until I hit puberty. I was a healthy child then BOOM I gained weight when I was 12-13 years old. I went from at age 12 165 to 195 when I was 14. Then I gained more weight. I got to 252lbs my senior year. Then I lost weight and got to 237lbs.
Man I’m just meant to be big and large. I wanna get back to 165 but my doctor said 190-180 would be best since I went through puberty and I have a large bone structure and I’m 6ft. I keep telling her I’m 5’11”3/4 but she ignored my comment and said 6ft. Even my own family says I’m 6ft.

Although exercise helps it is what you eat that determines your weight. Loosing weight is as simple as running a calorie deficit diet. Put in less fuel than you consume. How you do this is your choice. Often a high protein low carbohydrate diet is useful or intermittent fasting; such as 5:2 or 16:8.

Youre essentially 6ft. But its not about that, you need to make s permanent change in your diet and exercise habits to lose weight

@LaylaTheTallGirl theres really not, just accept your height. Gotta find healthy food you like
Sounds like you are 6ft for purposes of working out optimum weight. Becoming that weight is a combination of diet and exercise and these are long term changes and not always easy to achieve. The exercise doesn't have to be too strenuous - even going out for a walk for half an hour to an hour a day wil make a difference. Not eating a bag of chips/crisps every day or not having that extra sausage - these seem small but over time they make a big difference. When I stopped eating chips/crisps weight came down quite quickly.
