Sexually speaking, what is 'hotness' and how would you define it?

The term doesn't really have any meaning to me. I understand what I find attractive about the female physical form, but I wouldn't say 'hot' as a descriptor for a woman I see who I think is attractive as 'hot' implies too dangerous (to approach, etc.) like it's actually a bad thing when attraction is (to my mind) meant to be a good/positive thing.

I'm not attracted to other men at all, so I can't even conceive what might constitute 'attractive' there.

If you're a person who is attracted to same sex, or both sexes, what constitutes 'hotness' to you?
