I Am Polyamory

Have always been this way but only in the last two years did I really start practicing it, before that it was always failed monogamous relationship after another.

For me this works and I truly believe you can love more than one person at a time without taking love from others. I'm married, we've been open two years and we both have serious separate relationships that go very well. We are all friends as well, totally open and honest.

whatever works for you, go for it/

One of the problems I ran into was one person seemed to get more of his time than the other. Have you run into this issue and how did you deal with it?
Lackwittyname · 51-55, M
@Luckylu Just have to make sure you communicate your needs, and if someone is not happy it might not be the right situation
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@Luckylu doesn't that seen inevitable going by human nature and ego etc
Luckylu · 61-69, F
@atlantic59 @Lackwittyname I understand communicating your needs, and I don’t mean measuring exactly hour for hour. I wouldn’t expect that. This also isn’t jealousy of one person getting more time than the other. In Poly, what would you do as the man welcoming in another woman and you know your time with that person will be greatly out of balance, meaning the time you can spend with her is minimal compared to the other person you have known for a long time? Is this just expected to happen with someone new in the relationship, and the new person should expect this and be willing to accept it? I know I’m not giving you all the details, I’m curious how this works when introducing a new person to the relationship when that relationship with the other person has been established for years.
@blonde, asking a polyamorous person to choose just one is like trying to enforce monogamy on the relationship. The whole point of the activity is that 1+1 is sometimes greater than 2. You get your needs fulfilled in a way that one person - ANY one person - can never fulfill.

I guess it's good...
if you live in the present and not think about the future...

@poly, yes I could not go back to a monogamous lifestyle, and I always failed at it anyway. This said my wife and I are very close and love one another but we will see how it goes for our marriage lasting. There have been problems long before we opened and it may just be too much. As of now we are more coparenting.

@mourningdove....always love a nice taboo play

Nice to hear that things are going well for the both of you.
All of my relationships/marriages were open and thrived.
Even as an older man in a Long Distance Relationship, we have included another man (local to her) into our relationship.
Lackwittyname · 51-55, M
@Blonde, There is no loving one more than another. Different types of relationships and love that I have with each. Definitely not as common as many people have a primary and a secondary, this particular case is like having two primaries.

I think you are on a journey that will save your marriage and enrich both or your sex lives.. I totally believe in poly r'ships...
would you like to come to my thread where the daddy already is? or should i have him come here?
Love you honey for your honest confession. People do lot of things behind the curtain. They call themselves honest & transparent but I call it hypocrisy. You are a true gentleman and you are pursuing your masculine energy extremely well & efficiently. I m with you no matter what. After all we both fall into the same category 😘😘😘😘

@xal132 Definitely helps to live in the present, but still able to plan a future. Can love more than one person at a time.
Laundrygirl011 · 51-55, F
Find your lifestyle choice fascinating. Did you both decide after you married?
Darina · F

Which thread is it, happy to go to you

I’m not poly but I have wondered about the essence of the love most feel and the origins of jealousy. Do people not want to “share” (in a holistic sense not just sexually) their partners because that’s not consistent with love, or is the roots of it in insecurity, possession, etc?
Lackwittyname · 51-55, M
Not sure I could choose in this particular case. They both bring me love and happiness in different ways that allow me an even more enriched life.
I think that monogamy is not the natural state for most people. Glad you found something that works for you.
just go to my profile and click on the first or second story (doesn't matter they are adult) and say hi
Anopenheart · 56-60, M

Lackwittyname · 51-55, M
What do you mean choice will be needed?
Darina · F
I do not believe that can be a long time to love two women...
or I did not understand your story...
Lackwittyname · 51-55, M
No problem happy to answer any questions you have
Blonde · 36-40, F
Ok. But what if you had to choose?
would you like to play daddy mommy daughter? ;)
Lackwittyname · 51-55, M
@foxy, yes I need to find that one
Blonde · 36-40, F
Ok I was curious.
Blonde · 36-40, F
Who do you love more?
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
If it works for you then I say do what make you happy. Can I ask what you may think is a stupid question?
