Idk why it irks me when people mistake my wife and I for a lesbian couple šŸ˜‚

Last night, one of my sister’s friends greeted us by calling us their ā€œfavorite lesbian coupleā€ I didn’t bother correcting them, but I wanted to. šŸ˜… Yeah, we’re women and we’re married but we’re not lesbians, we’re bisexual women who actually have a preference for men. 🤣 I guess I just don’t like people making assumptions about me… but at the same time, it’s not such a wild assumption to make, right? šŸ™ƒ

They probably have no idea… and quite possibly wouldn’t grasp that reality

Does it bother you only bc it’s an assumption and they don’t know whole background? Or is it for other reasons?

@WaryWitchWandering I think I’m just nitpicky with it, lol.

Your last phrases are correct.

As Sherlock would say, "balance of probability".

OTOH, you can go through life in a huff, and hurt your quality of life, your lifesoan, your close relationships, and other opportunities.

Your choice.

That’s fair :)

When I meet a married same-sex female couple, I assume they are primarily Lesbian, and whatever else they do on the side, is part of the variety some couple engage in, and the possibilities are endless.
