Indoor p e was either a choice of plimsolls or bare feet until secondary school then it was compulsory bare foot.

@RebeccaG I have narrow feet and it is difficult to get shoes that fit me properly. Sometimes I took my plimsolls off for outdoor activities if they became too uncomfortable.
