Navel Piercing Question

I'm a big time navel fan and would grab any opportunity to touch a girls navel

But I always wanted to know something
It definitely started from somewhere but what made navel piercings a thing.

Who thought of getting their navels pierced the first time

Does it not cause any discomfort or because of the piercing are u forced to wear a short top.
And what if u are a shy female, do you get the piercing and have it covered

I had mine pierced when I was younger. I wore a lot of crop tops at the time, and liked how the little gold ring looked. When I got a little older I stopped wearing it and the hole closed up. It was never uncomfortable. I guess it would have hurt if it caught on something, but it was quite small.

I asked a cousin many years ago when she wore a slightly short top whether it hurts or is uncomfortable

She laughed and said that only if she doesn't have it then it hurts as if a family member is no longer with her

Years ago, I was doing a radio broadcast from a fireman's chicken BBQ and a beautiful young lady approached me with 'intentions'. She had a perfect body and man, was she pretty. She was wearing a halter top and short shorts. As a red blooded all male who was being flirted with, I eyed her up and down and I noticed she had her navel pierced, Most noticeable was that it was infected and had pus in it. INSTANT turn off!!! 😖 I smiled, turned, and walked away.

I don't and never did like non traditional piercings to begin with, but this one was above and beyond!

100 percent. Surely she would have felt some discomfort or some smell
