I Am An Asexual

It's been a strange one realising my sexual identity at this age. I always wondered why I was never interested in sex or dating as a teen when others my age were seemingly possessed.

I can feel love and attraction to people, but perhaps not attraction by the standards of others. For instance I found my previous partner pretty and physically attractive, but I didn't look at her and think she was sexy until I'd formed an emotional bond. I can enjoy sex and have a lot of it, but ultimately I'm just not interested in it nor am I driven by it.

I feel like a lot of people don't understand that, and tbh I didn't for over a decade either. It is a spectrum as some are repulsed by sex, but we're not loveless robots who don't care or love people like some think.
