I Finally Found What I'd Been Looking For

For several months, I had been hunting for 100% cotton, solid color, L O N G sleeve polo shirts. Also, ones that were not as expensive as those from Ralph Lauren or Lacoste.

Well, this 3-day weekend, I finally found what I was looking for!

So I bought FIVE shirts (from 3 stores).
😁 😁😁 😁 😁

(I also bought new shoes.)

That should satisfy me for the next decade. But I already had over a dozen such shirts. Yet over the past two years, about four of my shirts developed holes (always in the same place on the wrist!), so I tossed them.

Now, this weekend I did not get exactly what I wanted, since three of them are cotton-polyester blends (perhaps that is why they are cheap?), and two have stripes (not the best idea for my big belly). But I'll take what I can get! I am tired of looking.

(Of course, I could try ordering online and having them shipped, but I am still living in the 20th century when it comes to shopping habits, and I like to try things on and hold them before I purchase. I do not want to deal with porch pirates, returns, etc.).

I hope you had a nice weekend. And your arms are nice and warm!

Thats great. I love the feeling of finding something that i've been wanting. And finding it at a great price makes it that much sweeter ❤

I can afford the more expensive stuff. But it is a matter of principle. And old habits, since a few decades ago I could not afford it.

I did not need them, but I get this hoarding mentality at times. When I see a shortage, I buy a lot when I finally find some. I had found nothing for months. And then five in three days!

As a result of this mentality, I have way too much stuff I have accumulated over time. But I am bored and it gives me something to do in winter. It is too cold outside and the mall is the only place to walk without a coat! I have gotten better, though, at not buying too much stuff. Most trips I buy nothing.

But then something breaks and I replace it with two, LOL!

@JoyfulSilence lol im the exact same way. I literally ordered 2 shirts in 2 different colors because i like it so much i was thinking if something happens to it i still have the other one 😅

Yeah. Multiple colors are my downfall, too. I have to have all the pretty colors!

Good afternoon 🙂 I am glad you got some good shirts. I am actually wearing a flannel shirt today here in southern Florida.

@JoyfulSilence I haven't had a grapefruit in years. I haven't had an orange in a couple of years either. The grapefruit is just too much for me and my blood sugar keeps me away from the oranges.

@Musicman oranges are my go to when I break down
I am not really the type who likes medication but each time I break down to the point of not being to keep up I just try to get oranges and I am gonna be fine and least have something in my stomach because I am sure not gonna be able to eat when I am sick

@OluwoleFemiJacob That's great! When I was a kid if I ate an orange I would get a rash. There is just too much acid in them for me. My favorite fruit is grapes. 😋
