100% guaranteed we will all get over our body insecurities eventually. And I'm not saying that to be clever or morbid, but just to illustrate that they really don't matter if you have your health, family, and/or friends who aren't superficial. Bummer growing up these days -- I can't even imagine; because we are relentlessly conditioned into believing that the most trivial things in life are the most important things in the world. Be gentle with yourself, young lady.

I went through all the stages of feeling I was too fat, boobs too big, skin too pale, arms too flabby or whatever else was on my mind at the time. Now I'm 49 I finally learned to love my body for how it can make me feel and for the freedom, the fun and independence it can give me. Don't worry about what men think of you, the right man will love you for you. Just try to keep yourself as healthy as you can so you can have a great life. 🙂

I may not be perfect, but I've learned to manage my shortcomings.

You have no need to feel insecure Sasha. There's absolutely nothing wrong with you.

Ye. I already have from a lot of them. It's a lot A LOT of mental work and reconditioning. But I'm living proof that it's possible
oogirl · 13-15, F
No I can't 🙁

@oogirl I’ll take it

As you age, you realize no one notices your insecurities as much as you do.
Most people are too busy worrying about their own.

sorry, but what does that mean?
GoFish ·
@available4 some people don't like their body shape/look and feel insecure about it
available4 · 70-79, M
@GoFish okay, but not much you can do about it
GoFish ·
@available4 you can accept your body as is or attempt to change it and be happy either way
yes, but it takes some work. Love and accept "you" at every stage. it helps a LOT. and you get to a point where it really doesn't matter quite so much.

I honestly don't know. I'm in the best shape of my life right now and I still feel puny. Body dysmorphia is a helluva thing. 😅
DymondHed · 36-40, M
Hard to say. I know i can at least keep them at bay

No, it's perfectly normal. But people only have insecurities because they judge themselves against others.
