Are all Men expected to be an extravagant conversationalist?

Are there Women out there that don't expect Men to be an overly original, extravagant conversationalist? Not saying I'm not up to the challenge but it isn't something that I prefer to do. I like having deep meaningful, philosophical discussions but not so much into putting full effort into being extremely witty, interesting and charismatic.
