Can I just say, people who are used to seeing a young attractive person in the mirror..

At 35 it starts going downhill quite fast. 🥺 I'm also at the age where men leave for someone younger. On the upside predators won't be interested anymore.

I’m not sure I was that attractive when I was young, but I’m 39 now and trying to get healthier

I’m stronger than when I was 23

@th3r0n men tend to age better unfortunately

@PaleandPolluted Yeah, because we have thicker skin.

@th3r0n No Shit!

People fully mature at age 22 and hit their physical prime at 23. That was when I was my strongest too.

Bench Press - 325 lbs. for 1 rep max
Squat - 485 for 2 reps ( I was afraid to go for a 1 rep max)
Deadlift - 485 2 reps ( I was afraid to go for a 1 rep max)

1,295 total

Today, I probably couuln't do a 1,000 total

@HoraceGreenley I’m stronger at 39 than I was at 23 but not as strong as you were

I would be closer to 350 on squat and dead lift and around 200 on bench

@HoraceGreenley I can do at least one rep on all the machines except one on the 30 minute workout area of planet fitness though, so that’s not terrible

I can do 12+ reps with the max on some of them

@HoraceGreenley I didn't mature for years and only just got wiser. God my life was awful in my 20s.
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@PaleandPolluted My life was very uneven in my 20's. lots of ups and downs
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@th3r0n i'm about where you are right now on strength. i'll never be as strong as i was when i was 23.

@HoraceGreenley seeing people in happy relationships in their 20s is depressing to me. I had a bad experience at 25 then 4 years of trying get over it.
th3r0n · 41-45, M
@PaleandPolluted I can relate

I had what could have been beautiful but didn’t work out at 21 and it took me 7 years to get over it, though from 22-23 I tried a few times despite being messed up
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@PaleandPolluted i got horribly dumped in my md twenties an it took me a long time to get over it too. 4 years sounds about right. It happens
