What do you think of women who falsely accuse men of having abused them?

I mean firstly, I think we need to acknowledge that it's far more common for there to be actual abuse when someone says there is. I don't think we should be downgrading abuse or people's testimonies of being abused. The "MeeToo" movement was incredibly important and liberating to many victims of genuine abuse.

But I also obviously think that, man or woman, its obviously a really shitty thing to do. It tends to be far more common with women, of course, because we also live in a society that makes men afraid to come forward and say when they are being abused- so, of course they would be more likely not to come out and lie about being abused. But anyone who lies about being abused is an abuser themselves. Though I would also say that it's the legal system itself that needs to be fixed if men are being required to pay legal compensation for something without proof. anytime that there is an opportunity for money, people will take it. so the first step to solving that would be to change the legal system which allows that to happen.

People who falsely accuse can eat shit cause it demeans everyone else who actually got abused.
