I always put down the seat and the lid but at my last job I was trying to fix the stopped-up toilet and I left the seat up. My boss, who was 22 and about 7 months pregnant, came in the next morning in the dark and fell in. She left a nasty note full of bad spelling and grammer about putting down the seat which i have framed on a shelf above my toilet.
