@Northwest Very true! 50 miles inland from the coast and it's nothing like the palm trees and beaches it's depicted as.

@AnotherWeirdo Yep. I'm in SoCal and the ground is white with snow. That's the thing about the State in general. There's SO many different environments but those who don't live here tend to narrow their perception to the coast and it's big cities. That's not CA by a long shot.

@3Dogmatic Not exactly. My granddaddy owns his farm in Nebraska, my parents moved out here to try and start another farm, but didn't exactly work out as planned

@Lilniki69 well, there are a lot worse places to be in January than SoCal. I spent quite a bit of time there myself back in the 90’s.
