I think they realize it's too late. 🤣 That's why we males like younger chicks now. They aren't dried up and as worried about $$$ ahahahaaa

I'm an old chook, 66, dried up - but certainly not grumpy.
My old rooster and I have barely enough to get by without getting into debt.
We budget and manage well enough to not to have to worry.
Too late for what?
We're enjoying our retirement - lead a full life, enjoy our friends, hobbies, work in the community and work on the land.
We're both healthy and can reasonably expect another 20 or 30 years of a very good life.
