Are churches essential? [Spirituality & Religion]

If they can maintain social distancing are they really more dangerous than other businesses? Should people knowing the possible danger be allowed to decide!

I was always taught that God is all around so no they are not essential
AnneHoney · 36-40, F
There is water in your bathtub so beaches aren’t essential.@Dlrannie
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@AnneHoney I would agree they are not and people are idiots for crowding on to them
AnneHoney · 36-40, F
@Dlrannie not one proven case of anyone catching the virus outdoors. Did you know that? They are tracing how people got it. Almost impossible to get it outdoors especially in the sun. Someone would have to cough directly in your face.

@Dlrannie You are so keen on denying people of faith ( Trump voters) their rights. Walmart employees and customers come together every day with out any viral issues or liberal whining, what is the difference with church?
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@AnneHoney Hmm - Almost and Impossible means it is possible to catch it so there is a risk
TexChik · F
@AnneHoney Dont forget , for those under the age of 50 , the recovery rate is nearly 100%, for those over 50 around 98%. Just like the flu...except the flu hasnt been politically weaponized .😁
AnneHoney · 36-40, F
@Dlrannie there is no possibility of ever eliminating the risk. Can’t be done. Even if they find a vaccine at best like flu shots it will be about 40% effective.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@TexChik I am not denying people’s right to have faith as I said initially I have always been taught God is all around and one can worship without the need for a specific building /location. Quite what Trump has to do with religious worship I fail to see.
TexChik · F
@Dlrannie So because YOU cant see the need, no one should be allowed to do it? Fortunately for us we do have a president that knows the freedoms protected by the constitution are in fact essential.
AnneHoney · 36-40, F
I never understand why people insist others do what they do. You don’t go to church so you want to stop others. Vegetarians want to stop others from eating meat. I could go on but hopefully you get the point.@Dlrannie
TexChik · F
@AnneHoney That is liberalism in a nutshell.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@TexChik I have never felt the need to make a public show of my beliefs but if you do then perhaps you should hold services outdoors where social distancing then becomes practical
TexChik · F
@Dlrannie You arent a christian , but those who are wish to congregate . That right is guaranteed by the constitution, which means libs cant stop it. Where are all your social distancing concerns when blue state governors intentionally put covid patients into nursing homes? Social distancing was never intended to prevent the disease spread, but rather to keep hospitals from being over run. Cuomo orders the covid patients being placed in nursing homes instead of an empty hospital ship sitting in the harbor.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@TexChik Your attitude is not in the slightest bit Christian when you cannot comprehend that people can exercise their Christian faith in different ways to the one you do.
TexChik · F
@Dlrannie People can worship as they want. I do as the Bible says . You however, want to deny me and others of faith our right to congregate . You are clearly clueless and have no idea what being Christian , worship, and fellowship are all about. But you have the unending desire to deny people of faith the right to worship as they see fit because you don’t have any ( faith) . . .
