I think the real war on femininity is the ppl conflating being feminine with being weak and subservient. There's really no reason why women shouldn't be allowed to lead in the workplace, choose when & if to have children, and enjoy their sexuality in whatever way they please. And yet, so much of conservative culture is dedicated to denying women these basic social liberties.

@BlueVeins So all the female conservative business owners are denied social liberty? Got it.👍

Actually, the war was initially brought by those who defined femininity by one narrow yardstick. I grew up in a world where girls and women were strongly discouraged from wearing slacks to school or to church (like sent home to change). If that had been acceptable to a majority, nothing would’ve changed.

Agreed. I was referring to the current political climate.

I have always embraced my femininity. I am about as stereotypically girly as they come. But I also happen to love another woman and for us both to be happy and contented we continually have to adapt, evolve and compromise. Besides gymnastics, dancing, cooking and needlework, I also like mathematics and economics. To succeed in my workplace and to avoid being harmed, I occasionally have to be quite stern and unfeminine 🤨

I don't see none binary as against feminine stereotypes, but that they themselves personally don't identify or want to be identified by it and that they don't want us women to be expected to be feminine. None binary exists to remind us that we are not femininity. It's just a trait brought upon us by the patriarchy to act and look a certain way as a contrast to men and their power role.
