I’m a lesbian and I’ve started friendships with men and let them know I’m not attracted to men but then they still try and get intimate anyway. Do women do this to you? Or is this solely a male behavior? It’s really a hit or miss if I can accept a male as a friend because there’s no way I can tell if he’s genuinely looking for friendship or he thinks he can change me.

No, I definitely have more female friends than I otherwise would, but they’re not trying to get with me. It’s pretty clear we’re just friends and I’m not interested. Unfortunately men who think they can “convert” lesbians are definitely a thing.
