It sucks that as women we cannot talk about our specific location online without the risk of some lunatic deciding to do something stupid

Not that I am scared but I also don't want to waste my life in courts after killing the lunatic.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I wouldn't do that if I was a man either. 😬

Okay, I kind of overshared already in hints. I just generally assume people don't give a frack.

I don’t think that’s just us women. It’s general common sense not to divulge too much on line.
Miram · 31-35, F
@Ceinwyn

Not "just" but it is more likely for women to be targeted.
GLITTER · 36-40, F
I fear posting any sort of location. Even my county I’m like nahhh. Weird people. And not even just the men. I’m pretty sure some females here would want to hunt me down and murder me
Straylight · 31-35, F
@GLITTER That’s how bad they want that flower in your hair today.
GLITTER · 36-40, F
@Straylight worst part is there’s like other 10 flowers
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
I'm a man & I still wouldn't post my location. People get killed for simple mistakes like that. & I'll shoot 🤷 but that doesn't guarentee anything. You just never know
Straylight · 31-35, F
Probably a stereotypical American response, but I carry a gun just in case anyone wants to try something stupid.
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
@Straylight I literally sleep with it 😅
Straylight · 31-35, F
@ChiefJustWalks Sorry that’s necessary.
1490wayb · 56-60, M
this can still happen with any gadget on your person as well as your vehicle telling the world where you are
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@1490wayb truth

If someone is that crazy… they can find you
Miram · 31-35, F
@WaryWitchWandering

Nah, my location isn't detectible through IP. And my GPS is not associated to my name.
Viper · M
I'm not sure guys can either... but yes, much worse for the ladies.

Though, I think the ladies are much most likely to have an easier time in the court case claiming self defense...

Where sometimes guys claim self defense and they look them up and down, and say, you could do just pushed them away, or held them down until police calm, you didn't have killed them... and still get in trouble, even if it is self defense.
Miram · 31-35, F
@Viper

Not me. I have a past and they will take into account that and whether or not I lure the person in.

+it takes at least six years for a verdict and it would/ might cause an ethnic tension problem.

And other reasons.
Viper · M
@Miram sorry, I didn't realize all of that. And yeah, I'm only used to my culture, not others.
Coppercoil · M
Understandable tbh. Makes sense. I honestly wish more women felt like this, are trained / taught to not feel forever vulnerable. Knew how to use the greatest equalizer between men and women. The one tool that makes the playing field of violence truly level.
Miram · 31-35, F
@Coppercoil

I am grateful that most people are not like me. Too aggressive and I have phases when I exprience complete lack of empathy. It is not necessarily good. I have taken it too far and I still regret that.

But yes, women should be trained to protect themselves and their loved ones. The world would be better.
Coppercoil · M
@Miram i am not one to go around calling things sexist.. but i believe it is systematic sexism prevalent in most societies, perpetuated through media and general culture as well. That women shouldnt need to learn how to defend themselves, not just kick and screen, blow a whistle, pepper spray and run, but to be given the training and confidence to be aggressive if ever needed. That the application of extreme violence is sometimes necessary and not just something men must know how to do.. and conversly, men are encouraged in movies to need to be violent just to be a man.

Its all sexist really. This also reminded me of a movie where these women had to learn the hard way, in the worst possible way, this sort of thing. I couldnt watch it without seeing you in this movie.. and even made me cry.

Miram · 31-35, F
@Coppercoil I agree with that. It is sexist and stupid. In a healthy controlled milieu there is no reason why people should not learn self protection.

And it should not be only up to men. Two is stronger than one. And three is stronger than two. Numbers matter in war and so is the power of will and preparation to survive. Things are unpredictible but there is also a level of control.

I will never watch that movie. Too relatable haha

I only watch movies that are happy and have happy endings. Never war.
Magenta · F
😄Quite understandable.

Pertinent info can be found out far easier than one thinks.
Classified · M
You're so kind to protect them from themselves. 😌
eMortal · M
Haha too late. He’s coming. 😀
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@eMortal not a funny joke
Miram · 31-35, F
I guess it is all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@Miram I think most people don’t understand when someone is truly capable of causing damage due to past trauma… that shit that seems to be a threat can cause absolute rage and even crazy thoughts.

Nobody who can't hire personal guards should post about their location online or how much money you got.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
You are so right about this
