Why do guys try to prove their masculinity when girls come around?
I’ve always wondered why. is it like, instinctual or something? Lol or is it on purpose?

You are of the age where you are likely around more guys near the peak of their testosterone, so that's likely the issue (it tends to make guys more aggressive, etc.).
