Atheism is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma

[media=https://youtu.be/g6MrktRKfJU]
Besides being personal very disappointed I like to point out that this posting wasn't and isn't for the amusement of all the stupid atheists on here who can't even be bothered to view this clip to its very end. No, but it does show though that some of them will never respect different opinions nor the actual existance of difference, so I have decided to end their utter stupidity and hatred towards my rights as an individual in using here and now my ownership of this posting to delete anyone's statement that is contrary to Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

"Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance."

If you can't stand that freedom either then opt out for a still existing communist country. Cheers! 😁

You deleted my comment in which I stated that religious freedom is important but that religious laws should not have a place in government since legislations are supposed to be for everyone and should never favour one group over the other nor should they force everyone to adhere to laws of a specific religion.

Looking at your other posts I was hoping you wouldn't argue in bad faith. I was pointing out that morality is not exclusive to Christianity and that this video seems to not understand how atheists and people of other spiritual beliefs structure their life and find value.

Also Darwins thesis also includes mutual aid amongst species as part of survival of the fittest and Atheists don't base their morality on science alone.

@Annie13 I'm sorry, but I was yesterday I was emotional and I still am. I like to converse with anyone but I'm taking a break right now from these sorts of discussions. I've gotten too many people who can't be bothered to watch the clip in its entirety so I'm taking a well deserved break from it all. I'm not here to argue, just to point out that we do have rights and don't need to be corrected by anyone on matters that are important to us. There's acting within reason but there's also bullying people into a state of siege. I guess that happened to me right here and now.

For my part, you have your believes and will never accept even my right to think different. That's what I still get because you want an argument in good faith. Heck, I don't want an argument on people's rights at all. I've discussed plenty of times the same thing over and over again, but here you need to think first before you use words like "argue in bad faith".

Here I state again: I don't want an argument with you. And that was just the idea of the clip because at the end it's all about tollerating each other which you obviously don't even accept. Someone else's on this posting even asked me about twenty or more times why a bad maths teacher needs to be corrected after I had already told him that there's no maths at all mentioned in the American Constitution nor the Universal Declaration of Human Rights but the right to a religion or set of believes are
Annie13 · F
@val70 I can understand that arguing on here can be emotionally draining but I am still baffled by your interpretation of what I wrote.
Why would I not accept you for thinking differently? I am for religious freedoms. Now that I have seen more of the clip I still believe atheism is not portrayed accurately. You conflate atheism with authoritarian ideologies that want to outlaw religion.
This discussion is not about whether or not you have the right to your religion (which you absolutely have) but about the misrepresentation of atheism.

@Annie13 I'll refer you to the website of the American atheists (https://www.atheists.org/) and their aim to "stimulate and promote freedom of thought and inquiry concerning religious beliefs, creeds, dogmas, tenets, rituals, and practices" and "collect, preserve, and disseminate information, data, and literature on all religions and promote a more thorough understanding of them, their origins, and their histories". What else does one really need to do before one is actually a thought police?

And there's this telling passage: "Atheism involves the mental attitude that unreservedly accepts the supremacy of reason and aims at establishing a life-style and ethical outlook verifiable by experience and the scientific method, independent of all arbitrary assumptions of authority and creeds."

The supremacy of reason at all costs drives mankind to do a lot more evil things than good. That's how the death camps and the extermination of human imperfection actually started. What next? All religious people are nutters and need to be corrected? How far that correction takes, well, history is a real guide to that. That's why the maths teacher question here is again telling
Annie13 · F
@val70 First of all this is just one organisation that neither speaks for all atheists since there are a whole lot of us worldwide and secondly I looked at their website and they promote a seperation of church and state which I think is reasonable.
For example I see nothing wrong with this statement:
"American Atheists closely monitors state and federal legislation which affects our constitutional rights and the wall of separation between religion and government. Some of these bills advance religious equality, while others foster discrimination or create special privileges for religious people and organizations."

I feel insulted by your belief that Atheism equals to having zero morals or value for human life which is simply not true.

I don't fully understand what is meant in your quote. That all religions should be taught at school or in which areas should this be implemented?
val70 · 51-55
@Annie13 I never claimed that atheists have no morals but they obviously don' take those out in the bright sunshine for people like me, because they must be off their rockers if they do think that I'm not capable of reason because of my religion and solely they are. Moreover, I somehow need to accept that they have the "supremacy of reason" to battered me?

And you perfectly know that I don't mean religious rights in public institutions. I've never said that I'm against the seperation of church and state. The American Atheists on contrary reserve their so-called supremacy of reason to tell me here or even at my place of worship that I'm wrong. They reserve the right to even keep me on file. Well, that needs to corrected and not anyone's private believes or religion
Annie13 · F
@val70 Keep you on file? When and why did this happen? That's bad of course.

Most atheists just live their life not believing in a supernatural being or power. Your issue seems to be with an organization.
val70 · 51-55
@Annie13 My issues is, like the clip pointed towards, that most atheists even on here are pushing their mere believes into our faces. We have the right to be different and to not be attacked because atheists see us half baked which is a real laugh because they're so righteous that they forget who's in minority these days. Not them!
Annie13 · F
@val70 Christians attack too and don't claim christians are a minority.
As of the year 2020, Christianity had approximately 2.4 billion adherents and is the largest-religion by population respectively.
val70 · 51-55
@Annie13 The posting was about atheism and how it works itself into the ground. That's it in a nutshell. I don't want to discuss christianity again. You need to accept my rights
Annie13 · F
@val70 I do but you are childish when you see your rights being attacked by a discussion. Yours like anyone elses beliefs are free to be criticised.
val70 · 51-55
@Annie13 There's no argue, just a re-telling. Heck, I'm in a clear minority everywhere these days. So why such words like "childish" in reply again? Oh yes, you can't batter me with my own believes nor any past history of my church yet again. I'm smiling all the way to my session of evening prayers
Annie13 · F
@val70 You are not part of a minority and I am not attacking your faith.
Carazaa · F
@Annie13 I don't think we are a majority anymore. Laws are in favor of atheists now in many countries.
Annie13 · F
@Carazaa Could you name examples for such laws?
Carazaa · F
@Annie13 prayer in school is banned.
Carazaa · F
@Annie13 Only evolution theory is taught in schools, not creation story.
Carazaa · F
@Annie13 HIPAA protection for children who want an abortion or transition.
Annie13 · F
@Carazaa Not everyone is Christian there is no need for prayer in schools.
Annie13 · F
@Carazaa Evolution theory is pretty much backed up by scientific findings and creation is talked about in religion classes since it's a strictly religious idea and there are other religions who have different beliefs.
Annie13 · F
@Carazaa Children never start transition since there is no need for it. They may be in therapy and get hormones to postpone puberty and then once they are old enough still have the option whether they want surgery or not.
Carazaa · F
@Annie13 There are lawsuits right now in California where parents are saying the school transitioned their children in elementary and middle school.
Carazaa · F
@Annie13 Evolution is not backed up, wrong! It is a theory, and creation needs to be taught too!
Carazaa · F
@Annie13 You take God out of schools you invite Satan in, and now we have mass shootings in schools.
In 2022 There were at least 275 school shootings in the United States, according to the Gun Violence File (GVA). On Sunday 13 November, two separate mass murders at US universities left seven students dead. Since 1970, when current records began, there have been 2155 school shootings in the United States that have left 661 dead.
Annie13 · F
@Carazaa Schools can't transition kids maybe just hateful parents can't deal with their kids being trans.
Carazaa · F
@Annie13 And A group of parents in California sued the State Board of Education Friday over a proposed new “Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum” (ESMC) that would have public school students chanting affirmations to Aztec gods and invoking an ancient Nigerian Yoruba religious prayer.
