How would it do that? I was raised in an atheist/irreligious family and became a believer at 27. I would have much rather been raised that way than in a religious family. The reason I say that is that the religious, not all of them but probably for the most part, tend to operate through repression and oppression. If I had been raised that way I would either be suffering under that oppression in almost abject ignorance or (most likely) I would have rebelled and had nothing to do with being a believer based upon that ignorance.
But, you never know. Maybe I would have looked all the more intently for Jehovah God's truth. Eventually I did do that due to a loathing I had for organized religion and a desire to debunk the Bible by educating myself on it. Specifically Christianity. Having done so, though a believer in the Bible, God and Christ Jesus, I still loath organized religion. Especially Christianity, because it has warped the original teachings of Christ misleading billions of people.
