I'm an atheist so help me understand the Christian reasoning from a rational perspective:
God created man and i guess he did a bad job because we, as species, decided to be very bad in his eyes. So after killing every man, woman and baby save for Noah and his sons and son's wives...he actually decides we deserve death and torment again. He wants to forgive us but in order to do this he needs blood. And not just any blood but the blood of his only son/aspect of himself. So he makes an animal/human sacrifice of his son in order to forgive us for being so shitty...but it's only going to work if we believe the story after thousands of years.
So....if he wants to forgive and give a second chance, why not just do it without demanding blood and allegiance?

No he didn't do a bad job, his intent was purposely did giving free will choose who one would obey.
He didn't decide we deserved death again after the flood, that decision was made before he created man and placed him here. Death to those who follow the ways of Satan. Flesh man willingly contaminated themselves with angels, and that degree of contamination had to be eliminated and Noah and his family were the only ones found that was not contaminated. Now scripture indicates flesh man will contaminate himself again with angelic beings.
God has never accepted a human sacrifice as a blood atonement for sins. Is he asking for your blood?
The animals sacrifice that was given was a prelude to what humans did to Christ. With Christ knowing what was going to happen, allowed it to happen, becoming a sacrifice for humans himself.
Allegiance he does demand, if you want to abide eternally in his kingdom. And I don't blame him.
What type of Kingdom would you want one filled with human spirits as they exist today who murder, rape, rob, are hateful, power crazy, money crazy, war mongers, pedophile and bestiality, lie, cheat, steal etc, etc, etc, or one filled with human spirits who has love, harmony, honorable, trustworthy, respect for each other, equality, as humility, no jealousy or envy, no hatred, no vanity, etc, etc, etc. I don't know about you but I prefer a kingdom of love. To each their own, don't believe in is existence or don't accept it the choice is yours.
