Supernatural figure invented by the theists to respond to the questions they don't have an answer for.
No, not irrational at all. I may have a definition for "unicorn" or "dragon" even if I don't have reason to believe they exist. For your god it's the very same thing.

@Elessar God is a word that means mighty, as in venerated. Guitar god, pagan god, Judeo-Christian god, Abrahamic god. Shinto gods. A feminine god is a goddess. Amaterasu, Ishtar. The English word God is pagan, it was used before the Christian god as religious veneration. Pour, sky, libation . . . . [sigh]
A god can be anything or anyone. To say gods don't exist is just stupid. A god doesn't even have to exist anyway.
Unicorn, though, is interesting. They exist also. Sort of. The word unicorn appears in the KJV because back then it meant any animal with one horn. from the Latin uni (one) and cornu (horn).

@BibleData The post expressly ask which is MY definition. Did you read the title before trying (and failing) to lecture me?
No, saying that god doesn't exist is the status quo, until anyone who claims otherwise will supply sufficient evidence to subvert said status quo. Burden of proof is on those who make the assertion. To me, saying that god exists while having no tangible evidence whatsoever that isn't based on "trust me bro" is the stupid thing.

@Elessar I don't give a fuck what the subject heading says. If I define atheism as a small clump of green putty-like substance I found under my armpit one late midsummer afternoon after not bathing for several days that doesn't make it a valid definition. That's language. If you don't know that you must be woke.
