C S Lewis on atheism

“Atheism turns out to be too simple. If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.”

C. S. Lewis

Christians object to Atheists posting their views christian groups yet you think it's fine to post christian propaganda in and Atheist group. Typical christian arrogance and hypocrisy at work again.

I have no objection to you posting your views. You’re not presenting any logical argument only hate and prejudice @rob19

No, I leave that to the christians. They're the experts, they've had years of practice.

Give it a rest!

@Mathers Don't say you've run out of silly insults too. 🤣
@Mathers Mao does not represent atheists any more than Hitler represents Christians.
Mathers · 61-69
Hitler was anti-Christian and his next move was to destroy the church like he destroyed the Jews. Learn some history@LeopoldBloom
@Mathers Not really
He had the support of the catholic Church and used Christian as well as north mythological images and texts.
Hitlers soldiers wore the slogan "God with us" on their belts.

Yes but not the Jesus of the Bible.@PrincessOfHell
@Mathers That's completly beside the point. No one here argued that Jesus was such a bad guy (I personally see him as another of Gods victims) but rather how the Christian belief in an all mighty God has lead to harm.
Mathers · 61-69
How has Christians following Jesus’ teaching led to harm?@PrincessOfHell
@Mathers Again, many atrocities were carried out by people in the name of God and Jesus. Even today homophobia and bigottry is fostered by people who follow God and Jesus.
It doesn't matter whatever good intention lies within Jesus teachings since apparently way too many people got it wrong.
Mathers · 61-69
As Jesus said, ‘many shall come in my name…’ @PrincessOfHell

@Mathers
but not the Jesus of the Bible
That's the old "No true Scotsman" fallacy.
