How and why a human become an atheist

I am certain God exists, but I need to know how and why atheists become atheistic.

So, paging any atheist, please explain how and why you become an atheist, that will motivate me to know God better.

Hi atheists, you have got to study the concept of God from me as I am a theist.

So, here is my latest definition of God:

God is the permanent self-existent spirit creator and operator of man and the universe and everything transient.

@yrger that depends on what you expect from him. You label him spirit now. So do you plan on spending time with him after you shuffle off your mortal coil ?
You planning on an afterlife next ?
Did your god include the deluxe package plan for eternity, or just room and board for our time here on earth ?
Assuming god created the cosmos, doesn’t automatically guarantee the rest .
