How and why a human become an atheist

I am certain God exists, but I need to know how and why atheists become atheistic.

So, paging any atheist, please explain how and why you become an atheist, that will motivate me to know God better.

How did you come to believe in God? My guess is that you were born into religion.

Some people decide to take a look at life, based on current science, and come to the conclusion that there is no God, at a minimum, not the same God sanctioned by mainstream religions. These people are either atheists, or agnostic.
