There is no celestial deity of any kind in this solar system. But there have been tens of millions of imaginary deities and real lunatics that people have worshipped as gods. The last such person was the Japanese emperor, who was deposed as a god after WWII.
The Bible even tells how people create gods. In essence, national leaders are like gods because they have the power to control your life and their decisions can determine whether you live or die. In effect, everyone is a god because we all have creative and destructive powers, far in excess of the primitive gods that ancient con men cooked up. No ancient god could do what the average intelligent person of today can do. Think about the typical things you do everyday that ancient people would have worshipped you as a god if they saw you doing those things.
