How man can prove God exists.

I am a theist but I like to discuss with atheists how and why they became atheists, and I welcome atheists to discuss with me how and why I am a theist - all like as we are friends.

Why do I come to an atheists' forum, because sooner than later I always get banned in theists' forums.

So, perhaps I will stay indefinitely in your forum - and I like that very much!

As a kid, maybe 8 years old i realised that believing in an invisible man that lives everywhere simultaneously and knows everything is just silly. In fact its fucking ludicrous.

Sure, such a creature is silly and ludicrous but it is very effective in uniting a herd of superstitious twits over the centuries and giving them a focal point to rally around. It is also a fantastic money maker and give lots of lazy people gobs of power and influence, regardless of the society or the ethnic group. It works everywhere.

Hi Entwistle, glad to know you.

You say about yourself:
"As a kid, maybe 8 years old i realised that believing in an invisible man that lives everywhere simultaneously and knows everything is just silly. In fact its fucking ludicrous."

That was when you were 8 years old.

You must be much much older now.

May I just ask you, What put you into existence?

I invite you and me to interact in re god exists or not, is that all righrt with you?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@yrger Yes i am happy to chat about that. I am in my mid 50s now.
So what put me into existence?
What do you mean by 'Me'? The body?
yrger · 80-89, M
@Entwistle

Hi Ent, you ask me what I mean by me, the body?

Of course not.

I mean by me the person that is you and the person that is me.

So, I am asking you the person and also everything else that is all all all all all all things and all entities, in other words, everything that exists and did not bring about its own existence.

Ultimately what put into existence everything that did put itself into existence: so that, Ent, if you put yourself into existence, then you are not included in everything that did not put itself into existence.

@yrger The person, the personality develops from birth, and it ceases at death. Inbetween birth and death it is constantly changing. Things come into existence through causes and conditions. Nothing comes into existence without a cause..in fact many causes.
If you want to make a cheese sandwich first you need a big bang..right?
@Entwistle quantum mechanics is the most successful theory ever in terms of accurately predicting results of physical experiments. And quantum mechanics is based on fundamental randomness at the micro level -- trillions of effects without causes every second in every cubic centimeter of matter.

The physics that designed all the transistors and microchips we are using to communicate assumes fundamental randomness. And I don't mean some kind of "hidden causes," people as smart as Einstein worked for decades on various hidden variable theories and couldn't make them work.

The success fundamental randomness doesn't mean that assumption is correct; just that it's far and away the best candidate we have for a theory of everything.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@ElwoodBlues Understood. However all events both physical and mental have causes and conditions that bring them into being. I'm sure Einstein would have agreed with that.
Also just because we dont know how something came to be doesn't mean it just appeared randomly or without cause.
yrger · 80-89, M
@Entwistle Hi Ent, the person changes in the course of life but the identity is the same.

So, the question what put you into existence, the 'you' refers to your identity.

And you also say that everything is caused, nothing comes about without being caused.

I submit that your statement "nothing comes about without being caused," it should be qualified this way: "nothing with a beginning comes about without a cause."

Or everything with a beginning comes about from a cause.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@yrger Hello again, there is no fixed person/personality that changes..only change occurs..what is it that changes?..nothing..there is just constant change. Everything is caused by the previous moment.
Ultimately there is no beginning, none can be found. There is only now.
yrger · 80-89, M
@Entwistle

Hi Entw, you say:
"Ultimately there is no beginning, none can be found. There is only now."

Don't you notice that you make an absurd statement, "Ultimately there is no beginning, none can be found. There is only now."

How did we who have a beginning come to now if there is no beginning.

The correct question to ask ourselves is what ultimately is the essence of whatever, that started the beginning which leads to the now with you and me, and everything that did not exist previously.

And that whatever has permanent existence, because its essnence is existence: so that it cannot commit suicide even if it wanted to.

This is its definition:
It is the permanent self-existent container of all things, and the creator and operator of man and the universe and everything that is not it itself."
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@yrger Then show me tge beginning of anything.

You mean to tell mankind that you have been living an angry and disgruntled life since when you were only 8 years old. I feel sorry for you, what about you yourself: don't you feel miserable with and for yourself? What-a-life !?!?!? .
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@yrger Not at all. Im generally a very happy person. In part that is to do with the freedom i now have,i no longer worry or fear about being judged by an invisible entity that lives in the sky.
