I always found it weird that a God can even have enemies. Let alone not be able to reform them and must resort to something as petty and human as a prison.

@Speedyman What if I found Cthulhu all loving and chose to follow them?
Speedyman · 70-79, M
@AshaKenyatta I think it’s either need to grow up and actually learn some facts. You cannot appear to have a mature dialogue yourself as you are stuck in the view that we should be living in the old Testament days rather than as the Bible says in new Testament days under the grace of God. I feel sorry for people like you as you seem to have grasped the completely wrong end of the stick and become embittered. Therefore you are looking for something to criticise the faith with. Is actually quite ironic that the only reason that you find to criticise the way you do is the fact they have had 2000 years of Christian history and the Christian faith
AshaKenyatta · 61-69, M
@Speedyman You haven’t brought any actual facts into the “conversation.” All you have done is shown how childish you truly are. You can’t even form sentences properly
This world is full of narcissistic people keen on turning others' lives into hell.
Speedyman · 70-79, M
In any case the atheist is the most narcissistic position there is. It is the most fundamentalist nonsense that there ever can be that there if there is something beyond your tiny brain it cannot exist. It is the dogmatic assertion of nothing. It is usually totally uninformed as well
AshaKenyatta · 61-69, M
@Speedyman I’ll answer if you’ll actually answer my question, otherwise you’re completely full of it. Tell me what makes me a narcissist?
Speedyman · 70-79, M
Atheism is the most daring of all dogmas because it is the assertion of a universal negative. Anyone who asserts that must be a narcissist. You honestly believe that your brain can work out that the eternal Almighty omnipotent God cannot exist if you cannot understand him. Seems to be an almighty position of arrogance myself@AshaKenyatta
AshaKenyatta · 61-69, M
@Speedyman That is literally not how narcissism works. Let me break this down for you in the simplest terms.
Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism. Ironically some of these are traits that you yourself show.
Narcissists form a grandiose self-image as a compensatory defense in order to protect themselves from facing the pain of an actual self-image of inadequacy, which is kept out of awareness in the unconscious mind. There is no one more grandiose or egotistical than the biblical God. In his mind, the whole universe exists solely to worship him: “For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever!” (Romans 11:36). God’s idea of heaven is a universe centered around his worship: “Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty’Yet worship is nothing more than flattery. Flattery is not befitting to spiritual leaders such as God, who should guide and set a positive example by practicing humility.
Here how I personally carry myself. All life is valuable and I do not put myself above anyone else. When I do favors for people who require them I do not ask for anything in return. I do not crave worship or constant validation. I work for the betterment of myself as a human being and for my community
Throughout this entire thread you have not shown traits of humility. All you have was show that you can not engage in a discussion
without putting someone down. You really need to reflect on how you converse with others you do not agree with.

@EarthlingWise touché
@Julien I learnt to be wary of those internet quotes. It's still interesting to look into Ancient philosophers'writings. Democritus is one of my favourites.

Descartes :)
Or we're the narcissistic sadists and God allows us to exist without him, which is the choice
@AshaKenyatta so no verse then? Wow you really are all over the show today. If anything, God has shown us that we can't know what happens to people when they die. All he's said is that we will be judged and told us how to get the best lawyer. If we choose to get the lawyer or represent ourselves, thats up to us
AshaKenyatta · 61-69, M
@Tinkles And what verse is that?
@AshaKenyatta it's not. That's my explanation when people try and trap me on things we just don't know. But if you want verses to support that, give me a min to find the references

God hates pride, and that's one of the most prideful arrogant and ignorant things I've heard in my whole life
That statement itself is enough justification for the existence of Hell, as if God needed the approval of men to start with

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Moreover the Lord answered Job, and said, Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it. Then Job answered the Lord , and said, Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.

The problem is if you don't believe in hell and then after you die you find out that it actually does exist.. That would be a massive oupsy daisy 🙂

Stirring the pot again?

@AshaKenyatta The unevangelized are saved or lost on the basis of their commitment to the one true God. A variation of this position is called Accessibilism which means that God enables everyone to respond to His self-revelation in faith, on at least one occasion in their lives, in a way that leaves them accountable for their response.
John 1:9
The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 12:32
But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.
1 Tim. 1:15
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst.
1 Timothy 4:10
. . . and for this we labor and strive, that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe. [

@Justiceforall If me speaking the truth is stirring the pot then I don’t know what to tell you . Bold of you to assume someone’s life despite not knowing my history. (former Sunday school teacher and youth minister). As to why I am an atheist long story short I studied archeology and comparative religions.
AshaKenyatta · 61-69, M
@Justiceforall bible verses really won’t do anything. I could waste my time and do the same but at the end of the day none of will leave the conversation with a changed mind

Who cares? If that shit exists or doesn't, there's nothing any of us can do about it. So why dwell on it?
HannibalMontanimal · 26-30, M
Well you can ask him yourself instead of asking us who can't give you the answer you want
AshaKenyatta · 61-69, M
@HannibalMontanimal I did I got no answer. Nothing but radio silence

Honestly I can turn you into a believer in just 2 minutes - 24 hours. Too bad there's no coming back from it 🤭
YMITheWayIM · 46-50, M
@AshaKenyatta And what if you really turn into a believer, let alone a Muslim? No way. 😜
AshaKenyatta · 61-69, M
@YMITheWayIM I grew up in a stern pentecostal family, my father was pastor and my mother a missionary. And I still saw through the bullshit

@AshaKenyatta Good for you.

I believe those who truly deserve to be punished go to hell those who do not regret the evil they put into this world. It is just what I believe but I can see where you are coming from.

I know a few people that I would love to see burn in hell because they're the ones narcissistic and sadistic, who have made multiple lives absolute hell.
