I Am An Atheist

I grew up catholic, but my parents were type of people that let me form my own opinions as I grew older.
I strayed away from religion when I realized I never truly believed in a god, and I only played along to make my parents happy.

They know I’m an atheist, and they couldn’t care less. I honestly aspire to be like them, not enforcing my beliefs or lack of thereof onto others simply because I believe it’s correct.

I tried to do the same thing for my son. I didn't want him to be brainwashed at an early age, and I wanted him to make up his own mind about things.

Unfortunately, I worry that I may have made the wrong decision. He told me the last time I saw him that he believes in a higher power...but doesn't think he is a Christian.

AND he told me that he hates PEOPLE...in general. I should have tried to give him more guidance.

@4meAndyou People don't realize that being an atheist or agnostic it itself submitting to a form of brainwashing. It's not just people who accept God being brainwashed, it's possible to reject God and be brainwashed.
