I Am An Atheist

I am a proud atheist and an ex Christian and ex Mormon.
Also my lack of belief in a god has nothing to do with the theory of evolution. Christians just cannot seem to accept this fact. When I first became an atheist I didn’t even know anything about the theory of evolution. I have learned about it since then because they keep forcing me to defend it. I am not the best qualified person to defend it but some of them just can’t seem to accept this fact.
Also I do not hate god. How can I hate something I don’t believe in.
The reason I’m an atheist is because I visited atheist websites and finally listened to them with an open mind. I also listened to apologists with an open mind. I learned to much about the Bible and the history of Mormonism.

Look guys. I understand that no one likes being threatened about horrible things a god will do to them. I sure as hell don’t. But try to understand the people who do this have probably been taught this all of their lives. I don’t mean to sound patronizing of them but I’m sure it’s true. They have good intentions and are trying to help us so let’s try to be more considerate of that fact. I used to have these same fears and worried about people who weren’t “saved” so I understand how they feel.
Plus I would like to help them get rid of their stereotypes that atheist are just terrible people who are rude to them. And I really want this to be a respectful conversation.

I would like to get rid of the stereotype you have a Christian to threaten people with that sort of god all the while. You seem to be under some sort of psychotic delusion about it. Do you think you need some counselling?@Bandit2398

Well sir, the best way to get rid of that stereotype is to get Christians to stop threatening us with a god that will send us to hell.
And I have got counseling in the past and it was very helpful. I don’t take needing counseling as an insult. If someone needs counseling for any reason they shouldn’t be ashamed of it. Does your god really want you to shame people for needing counseling? And I refuse to be rude to you like you have of me sir. @Speedyman

Just you seem to be under some delusion about these things. I’ve never heard Christian to behave like that in 50 years so I’m just wondering where you get these delusions from@Bandit2398

Sir, you can see threats of hell in this comments in this thread. I have had a Christian tell me I am hell bound to my face. I hear all the time from Christians that their god is going to send me to hell if I don’t repent. This is not a delusion. @Speedyman

@Speedyman I have a question for you sir. Does your god approve of you being rude to people the way you have been? I know people have been rude to you also which I’m sorry for, but does your god like you being rude in return?
Speedyman · 70-79, M
I’m not being rude just telling how things are. It’s always interesting to me that atheists can tell people anything but if somebody replies telling atheists just how illogical their beliefs are they are accused of being rude. I’m not being rude just truthful@Bandit2398
Bandit2398 · 51-55, M
I seem to recall you making comments toward others that I thought was rude but I might be mistaken. You’ve deleted a lot of your comments so I can’t go check. And there have definitely been people who were rude to you. So if I falsely accused you of being rude I apologize sir.
Atheism is not a belief system sir. It’s the exact opposite. It’s the lack of beliefs in a god or gods. So to say atheists are illogical in their beliefs doesn’t make sense. @Speedyman

No atheism is a belief system which requires more blind faith than theism. It is an escape from reason @Bandit2398

@Speedyman I agree with that atheism is escape from reason to an extent, since it is self-evident looking at the world that there is a creator.

Completely illogical. @Carazaa
