I Am An Atheist

I am a proud atheist and an ex Christian and ex Mormon.
Also my lack of belief in a god has nothing to do with the theory of evolution. Christians just cannot seem to accept this fact. When I first became an atheist I didn’t even know anything about the theory of evolution. I have learned about it since then because they keep forcing me to defend it. I am not the best qualified person to defend it but some of them just can’t seem to accept this fact.
Also I do not hate god. How can I hate something I don’t believe in.
The reason I’m an atheist is because I visited atheist websites and finally listened to them with an open mind. I also listened to apologists with an open mind. I learned to much about the Bible and the history of Mormonism.

The bizarre conflation of atheism and evolution has always mystified me. They have nothing whatsoever to do with each other.

Plus, you know, the vast majority of Christians in developed nations accept the theory of evolution. Hell, it’s Catholic dogma at this point.

One of the great spiritual thinkers, Teilhard de Chardin, a paleontologist, in [i]The Phenomenon of Man [/i] wrote about mankind evolving toward interconnectedness (long before the internet) and toward connection with God.
