Astronomers see a new star that they see in a particular position is actually not at that position right now. It is the event of the past they see from their telescope. So, in a way, they see the past. That is mind blowing to me.

@DanielsASJ Just think of witnessing the birth of a new star or planetary system. It's fascinating to think about the process of accretion and nuclear fusion that leads to the formation of a star.
Imagine witnessing the moment when a protostar ignites, and its light begins to illuminate the surrounding space. It would be an incredible sight to see the surrounding gas and dust respond to the new star's energy.

@Yourbeau Oh no, I never have, but I tell you what I did do yesterday morning. My family lives a bit of a distance from me, so I ordered a Meta Quest 3 with the head strap as a Christmas gift for my daughter, and she'll get it this Sunday and I am so excited! She is absolutely going to flip out. Hahaha

There’s no end!!!
We know more about IT ( space) than we do about our OCEANS…
@soar2newhighs Yes!! Isn't that interesting!

What it's like inside a black hole👀
@greencompass
You know I was thinking of that myself just yesterday. That seems pretty scary to me. I don't think I would want to find out. There seems to be so many scary things out there. And I guess that's really because people fear the unknown sometimes. I find the black hole very fascinating, that it could even exist. Makes you wonder if it goes into a different dimension.
