Astronomers see a new star that they see in a particular position is actually not at that position right now. It is the event of the past they see from their telescope. So, in a way, they see the past. That is mind blowing to me.
@DanielsASJ Just think of witnessing the birth of a new star or planetary system. It's fascinating to think about the process of accretion and nuclear fusion that leads to the formation of a star.

Imagine witnessing the moment when a protostar ignites, and its light begins to illuminate the surrounding space. It would be an incredible sight to see the surrounding gas and dust respond to the new star's energy.

@LadyGrace Thanks and I will be using it again more during then long white months 👍
Have you not tried one or similar device as of yet ?
Don’t remind me, holidays blahhh 😒 lol
@Yourbeau Oh no, I never have, but I tell you what I did do yesterday morning. My family lives a bit of a distance from me, so I ordered a Meta Quest 3 with the head strap as a Christmas gift for my daughter, and she'll get it this Sunday and I am so excited! She is absolutely going to flip out. Hahaha
Yourbeau · M
@LadyGrace She might enjoy it and perhaps you can try it out 😅
I’d really like the apple one but it’s a bit expensive. Meta is good for beginners though 👍

@Hireath WHOAA!!!! Get out of town!
Hireath · 36-40, M
@LadyGrace Yes look how cool it is

@Hireath WHOAAAA!!! How cool is that! You wouldn't think he could do it. That is absolutely amazing. Thank you for all these awesome facts. I love it. I love looking at him and studying him. Isn't he amazing? I can't even believe he can do that. That seems impossible.

What it's like inside a black hole👀
@greencompass
You know I was thinking of that myself just yesterday. That seems pretty scary to me. I don't think I would want to find out. There seems to be so many scary things out there. And I guess that's really because people fear the unknown sometimes. I find the black hole very fascinating, that it could even exist. Makes you wonder if it goes into a different dimension.
greencompass · 36-40, F
@LadyGrace exactly! It'd be awesome if it they do go into other dimensions😃
@greencompass Oh yeh!
