This morning I was experimenting with setting for getting a true picture of the sun. Using a special neutral density filter the blocks 99% of light and adjusting settings manually I captured a picture showing sunspots, magnetic storms, and finally granules from hydrogen burning on the surface. I used live view to not damage my eyes but safe for the camera. Lens is a tamaron G2 150-600. Camera is a Nikon D7200. White balance was also adjusted.

That’s a great shot. You should try another with the white balance set to auto and see if it would come out more yellow - it looks a little anemic. Good job though. I have taken some moon shots, but never tried the sun.
