How do you know what your star sign is? The sky is in constant motion and the zodiac has shifted a full sign in the past two thousand years.

The current zodiac

Capricorn: January 20–Feb 16
Aquarius: Feb 16–March 11
Pisces: March 11–April 18
Aries: April 18–May 13
Taurus: May 13–June 21
Gemini: June 21–July 20
Cancer: July 20–August 10 (21 days)
Leo: August 10–September 16
Virgo: September 16–October 30 (45 days!)
Libra: October 30–November 23
Scorpio: November 23–November 29 (just a week!)
Ophiuchus: November 29–December 17 (not an astrological sign of the zodiac ... but real all the same!)
Sagittarius: December 17–January 20

@BlueSkyKing I have seen this. I am a libra but according to this i am a virgo which i dont like... I still go by old original system which most people do. I dont resonate with virgo at all.

@Littlewing Why would you want to conform to what astrology says? The original was made up four thousand years ago. So now it’s two signs off.

@Littlewing From which book and/or website? The 'western' or the versions from India? In every description of a sign you’ll find things that apply to you. The original purpose of astrology was divination. When it faced competition from fortune tellers that gave instant results, astrology got a makeover. Now it claims to program people on an individual basis. Instantaneous at birth. How? No explanation needed, it just does. When someone asks my birthday for that purpose, I give a false date. They still nod knowingly and create a stereotyping in their head.

@BlueSkyKing Ive read many books and websites. Fine- you dont believe in astrology you dont have to try so hard to prove us believers wrong.

@Littlewing It’s a lot easier to prove things true. No wonder this is in the religion section. You asked and should expect skepticism. I’m a realist that wants strong evidence before committing to a belief.

When you accept astrology, you open the door to more nonsense. Do you have equal respect for tarot cards and palm readers? Back in the 19th century, the craze was reading bumps on the head.
