How do New Mexicans feel about this proposed name change to New America?

I don't know any, personally.

Now you can live in New America whilst also living in the United States of America. Not to mention North America, which of course is part of the Americas in the western global hemisphere.

Of planet America

Not to worry. With Trump gone the names of places and things will revert to sensible.

There's a phrase that comes to mind,

You raise a good point.

And how many other states have names that originated from outside the usa?
