I Am Highy Interested In the Mysteries of the World

Here is quite an interesting video containing the thoughts of some astronauts who were privileged enough to look at Earth from space. They had some mental experiences that I suppose one could think of as spiritual. Their general message is important and quite powerful I think. They seem to speak of being struck by thoughts of being one with the planet. It's definitely worth a watch in my opinion.

This truly was a spiritual experience for those astronauts,it opened a depth of understanding to them that could only happen while having that experience in space. It would be hard for them to explain this to those who did not,and it would irretrievably have changed their lives.Sadly that depth of understanding is only known to a few.Great video.

I think the mainstream media should show more of this kind of thing more often because it would give people good food for thought or even hope. Astronauts are not just any old Tom, Dick or Harry. They are well educated and really intelligent people so when they say stuff like this because of a unique experience they had we should share in that experience and consider what they say.

@Wraithorn: yes I agree with you, but sadly the media is interested in more mundane topics and so are a lot of people who have limited understanding about things spiritual.

@berangere: Yes, I notice that spirituality is often confused with religious doctrine. I don't agree with that. I think it's about understanding how we are all a part of everything else and not separate from it.

@Wraithorn: Yes,all religious doctrines separate,so they cannot be described as being spiritual. Many people, and I am one of them describe themselves as being spiritual and NOT religious.

@berangere: I understand. You're in a similar situation to me. You're not religious or an atheist. Religious people call that sitting on the fence. I view it as removing the fence. That fence is limiting. :-)

@Wraithorn: I totally agree with you on that point.
