What a fabulous evening!
There was a good crowd at the soiree and exhibition last night, and the other artist showing with me sold several carvings and statues. He was the main draw, as he sells quite a lot of stuff, but of the eight paintings I had on exhibit I have sold two, and good interest has been shown in three more!
The gallery really pushed the boat out, as they say, and it was a great success. We should hear from the people interested in the three by Monday, it is hoped. They are probably looking to lower the price a little, which will either mean my reducing my price to the gallery, or them reducing their percentage!
Cveta accompanied me, and we wore super risque gowns! She was very naughty too! However, we spoke with lots of appreciative art lovers, and the whole evening was a great success. I had enquired of the gallery how often they do this type of evening, and I was told for two artists like us, no more often than twice a year. It doesn't stop me displaying with others, nor the gallery regularly showing my work.
