I don't particularly care what preferences come and go. If I like the look of a painting or woman I'm not going to care if it "fits" some other invented convention either.
I don't mind if it's some original done in an old style. But when they like take the mona Lisa and give her a boob job and make her less "fat" that pisses me off too. Gosh I want to make a meme now with the Venus of Wilendorf on one side and the modern beauty standard on the other side but the modern beauty standard is literally just a stick. That is the kind of stuff that comes to mind when they judge past art by modern standards.
