I want to hear all of your favorites!
I love Leonid Afremov and I’ve been trying to find similar works, but I just havent had any luck. I did just stumble across Iris Scott and Anastasia Trusova tonight and I like them a lot, but I don’t love them like Afremov!! My favorites by him are Farewell to Anger and Under One Umbrella. I have them both hanging in my living room. I’ll attach Under One Umbrella here for your viewing pleasure…

Not a single painting or painter, but in general most modern art from the beginning of the 20th century up through roughly the 1960s or 1970s perhaps
Mainly Abstract Expressionism and its ancestors (some even going back into the 1800s, like Impressionism), a bit of Surrealism, Cubism, Suprematism, Kandinsky and more
Any paintings from the 1800s that were interesting to me were clearly incremental stepping stones to pure abstraction
@SW-User I am no art history expert and there is a lot here I’m going to have to look up! Lol I look forward to expanding my scope on a couple things you mentioned! I’ve never been a fan of abstract art. I still suppose I don’t like it much on a whole, but there are always exceptions! I’ve learned to never say never regarding any art form. You just never know what’s going to grip you and surprise you.

@cherryxblossom I just posted a random example of the kind of Surrealism I like, as it is more abstract ... but Surrealism is far from the only genre of modern painting I like
