Does anybody know any alternatives to using fixative to seal graphite drawings?

The paper is use is thin so the fixative would likely damage the paper and possibly alter my hours of hard work . Graphite is prone to smudging so the fixative would keep it in place but there’s cons to the method. 🤦‍♀️ Any tips??

I read some of your issues.

It seems that you want your drawings left in your sketchbook, which is a major hindrance to some methods.

Have you thought about gluing in a protective sheet? Placing it won't work bc it would fall out. I was thinking about how some (older) books had protective sheets over some prints.

@SomeMichGuy I do that with pages from a notebook but it kind of looks tacky to me
@Prettybratbi1tch Well, if it works, then solving your problem simply trumps looks. lol
