Anyone use oil pastels? Would they work well on oil paint pad paper ?

Getting pastel paper that's made specifically for oil pastels is difficult to get .

I have used them in the past on ANY really thick textured paper. You color your drawing with them, and then paint over the drawing with turpentine and your paintbrush. You can get some interesting effects.
