Wall Art Choices... your opinion?

These are three I've picked out of a host of others I've looked at. All are canvas stretched over a wood frame. All three will be in the living room on opposing or adjacent walls.

The room walls are a very light blue/gray, the furniture all dark natural woods (walnut/mahogany mainly) and dark fabrics, and wood floors with Asian dark red print rug.

What do you think? Too much color or the subjects wouldn't go well in the same room, or?

This one is 30" x 60"

This one is 16" x 24"

Just adding - If I was to give my opinion, the top one (which is just my kinda style I love - loose and beautiful expression of light)馃)....and the bottom one ....will go great in the same room .
They are calming and relaxing and great for a lounge room where you go to relax .
And. will be absolute stunning features with the colours you have going , and will add upper aesthetic balance to a room that has darker furniture down below .

The flowers are more ....bright , uplifting - perky 馃槒
To me they are more something id like to see in th morning when I have coffee. You know - a brighten my mood type thing .
So personally Id put it in the kitchen .

But then ....that's me.....not. You 馃槉

You do you 馃

Edit :
Just one more thing -.people often put art in a lounge room where they will see it sitting down .
Great idea - doesn't actually execute the way you intend it to in reality .

The reason being, you sit down and pick up a book or turn on the TV and look at that instead .
I highly recommend putting it in relation to your furniture ....as in 'to balance the room as a whole' .
So when you walk into your lounge , you see them - and not only do they relax you , but the whole affect of a balanced room relaxes you before you even sit down .

This way you'll see them more and appreciate them more. 馃槉

@OogieBoogie Thank you! I really appreciate that you took the time to write all that for me.

I know zip about art... except what I like and what I like is always colorful.

Between you and @Magenta helping me think through my choices, I'm going to get all three, but put the flower one in my study/office where I spend time writing, playing on the computer, and doing me stuff.

I think I may put some other wall decoration in place of a painting where I was going to put the flower painting... that or maybe a people piece of art.

@OntheroadThanks for reading my thoughts on it 馃
just remember that nothing is written in stone.

My sister is an amazing artist and highly creative - and she'd do a whole room, paint it out, decorate it ...and then change it completely a few years later.
It used to sometimes shock me that she could create a whole incredible interior design - and then get rid of it ....even to painting over murals she's done .

But she taught me that interior design isn't a 'one then done' thing .
Whatever choice you make - you can remake it again ....and again ....and again .馃

Theres no rules against moving art around untill it finds it's perfect place.

I habitually use those 3M removable sticky hanging strips untill I find the best spot for something . They save the wall if you're not keen on leaving holes in the wrong spot .

Good luck .

I do love that top one though . I even think I have a very similar one saved. I never thought Id like cityscapes , but those loose impressionistic ones are really something .
