Can anyone help me with my mural. Critic?

I just started painting, as I am semi-retired. I volunteer at Barn Buddies Rescue, and they asked me
to paint 75ft of outdoor partition. I have been studying you tube to learn, I know I have a long
way to go. The mountains behind the waterfall will be worked on next. Thank you for any help.

From my mural class at art college: Take a photograph or print of any sort, and divide it up into squares as though it were a piece of graph paper. Then divide your area to be painted into the same squares.

That way, each square can be realistically transferred onto the area to be painted.

Art wise...the distance should always look sort of foggy and misty...in other words, the foreground should be detailed, the middle ground should be progressively less detailed, and the far distance should have almost no detail.

@4meAndyou Is that a painting? or a photograph? So I should keep it in the same color groups.
just go darker as I get to the foreground?

@DogMan That is a photo. As you can see, the deep dark green only occurs in the foreground. Although there is a LITTLE bit of dark green in the second tier back, the color is also moving toward blue. In the third and fourth tiersthe colors are misty white, baby blue, a bit of misty blue green, and a tiny bit of darker blue green with white. The last and final tier is only slightly darker than the sky.

@4meAndyou Great, thank you, I'm going back to work on it today if the wind dies down some

@thewindupbirdchronicles That's a good idea. I worked on another panel this weekend. I'm trying different things that I see on You Tube. I started this new hobby about a month ago. You tube helps a lot.
Maybe the trees and waterfalls should creep just more upon the mountains?
